Our services include mainstream landscape and design
consultancy, encompassing landscape architecture, urban design and
landscape management
Mott MacDonald’s landscape and ecology team prides itself on
its role in the integration of civil engineering with landscape and
natural habitats.
We're acknowledged leaders in nature conservation and sympathetic
landscaping schemes with considerable experience in river
engineering, and the greening of roads, reservoirs, coal mines,
gravel pits, sea walls, sewage works, shopping complexes,
industrial estates and housing.
In addition to professional expertise in ecology, nature
conservation and landscape appraisal, our services include
mainstream landscape and design consultancy – encompassing
landscape architecture, urban design and landscape management. We
include landscape designers and ecologists in our
multi-disciplinary project teams from project initiation to ensure
that landscape and nature conservation objectives are combined with
engineering, environmental and planning considerations.
Key examples of our landscape design work includes:

works and landscaping in time for the 2002 Commonwealth Games
- A1 Motorway Baldock to Alconbury, UK – detailed design of
landscaping for a 39km section of road in the environmentally
